Set back from the street and ideal for people-watching, this Italian restaurant’s comfortable outdoor patio is perfect for summer dinners and boozy breakfasts. Of course, you can also go inside to the dining room, equally enticing with high ceilings, exposed brick, and the view (and aroma) of your pizza cooking in the wood-burning oven.
If it’s my first time, what should I order? There are 25 wood-fired pizzas to choose from, but if you can’t decide, get the Grandma Pie. A thin-crust, square pizza topped with made-from-scratch mozzarella, zippy tomato sauce, fresh basil, a drizzle of housemade garlic oil, and imported parmesan, it’s a favorite among regulars and newcomers alike. Bonus: all 12” wood-fired pizzas can be made gluten-free.
What’s there that I can’t get anywhere else? Handmade ravioli stuffed with seasonal bounties like braised pork, lobster, and butternut squash, or try Italian spins on dishes like sushi—roasted vegetables wrapped in prosciutto—and cheeseburgers—Angus beef, provolone, prosciutto, tomatoes, and sautéed onions on garlic bread.
What are we drinking? Go for the Cannoli Martini, made with Biscotti Famosi, chocolate liqueur and cannoli cream in a pastry-rimmed glass with chocolate drizzle.
Did someone say brunch? The only thing better than last night’s pizza for breakfast is breakfast food on pizza. On Sundays, a specialty brunch menu appears, offering delights like the Eggs Florentine Pizza—sunny side up eggs, sautéed spinach, tomatoes, asiago cheese, and hollandaise sauce.
