Vodka Sauce

  • 1 white onion, chopped 
  • 1 clove garlic, minced 
  • 1 oz. prosciutto, slivered
  • 1 T olive oil  
  • 2 oz. vodka 
  • 12 oz. heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt and pepper 
  • Fresh chopped parsley, to taste 
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce 
  • Pasta for serving


Sauté chopped onion, garlic, and prosciutto in olive oil. Add vodka, cooking until liquid evaporates. Pour in heavy cream and stir until it comes to light boil. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley, then stir in tomato sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes before pouring over freshly cooked pasta.
