WHAT’S THE VIBE LIKE?
If you’re in the mood for a polished pub atmosphere, the lively taproom is where you’ll want to be. If you’d rather have a quieter, more intimate experience, the main dining room is for you. When the weather permits, dine al fresco on the outdoor deck, or take it upstairs for a private party.
Spinnerstown is known for its impressive beer selection, but the restaurant also specializes in craft cocktails. The R. Beatnik is like a campfire in a glass, with a smoky backbone and complex leather, tobacco, and caramel notes. With a scratch bartending philosophy—meaning that drinks are made from fresh juices and house-infused spirits instead of premade mixes and syrups—every drink is as pure as it is unique.
Breakfast is always a good choice for lunch or dinner, especially when it’s the Irish Breakfast at Spinnerstown Hotel. This crowd favorite arrives on a bed of smoked cheddar cream cheese sauce and hand-cut potatoes. But wait, there’s more: Topped with a fried egg, this dish is famous because of the tender housemade corned beef, which is brined in Yuengling and Guinness and cooked slowly for two-and-a-half hours.
Q&A WITH SPINNERSTOWN HOTEL
WHAT’S ON THE BEER MENU?
Perhaps the better question is, what isn’t? There are more than a hundred kinds of vintage beers, including hard-to-find English ales from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. In addition to these aged brews, Spinnerstown also has hundreds of bottles and 18 taps, including cask beer. The old-style cask beer is pumped by hand and offers mellow flavors without any fizz. Give it a try!
WHAT ABOUT WINE?
With the addition of a Certified Sommelier to the staff, the wine selection has doubled, with an enormous emphasis on value. The team tastes every wine available and makes sure that it drinks like an exquisite glass of wine, no matter the price tag.
