Inspired by the cultural melting pot of Sicily, where a confluence of diverse Mediterranean flavors harmonize on plates, tender Braised Lamb Shank offers an alternate take on traditional Italian cuisine. This house specialty, slow-cooked in white wine and brightened with oranges—the citrus cuts through and tames the gaminess of the lamb—includes plump Gaeta olives, which are meatier and less salty than other varieties. Fresh rosemary delivers an herbal punch, and a bed of creamy polenta soaks up all the succulent juices.

CORNY

Coarse-cut polenta, stone ground by nearby Castle Valley Mill, retains the flavor of Pennsylvania corn and offers a toothsome texture.

This feature pasta boasts intriguing provenance: Fettuccine—house-made daily with non-GMO Italian milled flour—gets tossed with Japanese heirloom Red Kuri squash—grown locally at Mennonite-owned Meadow View Farm—fresh sage, sherry cream, and toasted pine nuts. Simple, seasonal, sensational.

With an open kitchen featuring a wood-fired oven, the main dining room exudes a vibrant energy for relaxed eating and drinking. However, a rustic stone archway leads to an authentically rustic and cozy farmhouse-style bar where innovative cocktails—with a decided culinary bent—are crafted. From there, step into the warmly atmospheric Moon Room, where a fireplace sets the mood for intimate dining.
