Daily renewals of their vows to the sign outside, which proudly proclaims, “fine food and spirits, est. 1818,” are exhibited in offerings of familiar favorites prepared with attention to detail, while a warm wood bar poses a comfortable social spot for sitting back with old friends and a rich cocktail – perhaps their signature Chocolate Martini.

Traditional fare goes delectably New American with handfuls of international twists, like sous-vide Jumbo Scallops on a bed of Asian slaw. An in-house smoker allows for deep, woodsy dashes, as seen in delicacies like the Smoked Trout, as well as in hearty favorites like the Smoked Bone-In Pork Chop, smothered in honey glaze and enhanced with fragrant sprigs of
fresh rosemary.
