Grumpy’s Bar-B-Que Roadhouse

• “There’s no such thing as fast food BBQ,” says owner Michael “Grumpy” Grimm. “It’s all about going back to the basics of slow cooking meat over fire, and we were the first place in the Lehigh Valley with a real
  wood pit.”

• Bikers and businessmen alike flock to this country casual roadhouse, appetites already whet from just a whiff of the smoker from the parking lot, for appetizers like Bacon-Wrapped Scallops: jumbo scallops wrapped with house-cured and house-smoked pork belly.

• This half rack of Ribs is made with two pounds of ultra meaty Carolina ribs and smoked with hickory wood for four hours before being drenched in their homemade tangy BBQ sauce. You’re going to need another napkin.

• Grumpy’s got their start in concession, doling out smoky morsels at blues festivals and biker parties. While they’ve since gone brick and mortar, they still have a fleet of eight food trucks at the ready that can cater for up to 800 people upon request.

• It’s dessert in a glass: the S’mores Hurricane is a sweet storm of dark chocolate and vodka with a chocolate-dipped graham cracker and flame-toasted marshmallow on top.
