Go on vacation in a little piece of Mexico.

Vibrant Chile En Nogada flies the colors of the Mexican flag on a bountiful plate. This traditional dish, created nearly two centuries ago to celebrate Mexican independence from Spain, is a cold-weather specialty incorporating seasonal pomegranates. Bright red arils and green cilantro leaves are scattered over a creamy walnut sauce adorning a poblano pepper filled with picadillo—a savory minced blend ground beef, onion, bell pepper, apple, and pomegranate—served on a bed of rice. Pairing with a pour of silver tequila is always appropriate.

Not all chiles are fiery! Flame roasting green poblanos, hailing from the Puebla region, adds complexity to their mild flavor.

Warm up to a crispy, creamy, totally luscious Fried Avocado. Stuffed with cheese and ground beef or veggies, breaded, and cooked golden, this signature appetizer arrives with red sauce and house-made tortilla chips. Look for specials with shrimp or jerk-seasoned chicken.

A fiesta feel permeates the cantina and warmly inviting main dining room, where a “Little Amigos” menu welcomes guests of all ages. Happy Hour enlivens the bar 4:30–6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with specially priced apps, signature house Margaritas, and select drafts. Discover a more intimate environment in the Mojito Bay Lounge, featuring distinctive small plates and an enticing spectrum of Mojitos and Margaritas.

What’s the 411?
An expansive menu encompasses earthy Mexican dishes, from authentic Pollo Mole to casual tacos packed with beef, chicken, shrimp, or veggies—the undecided can benefit from the mixed pleasures of combo plates—and Cuban favorites brightened with citrus and garlic, such as the alluringly fragrant Mussels Varadero. (Cuban classics include family recipes from co-owner Gary Albertini.) New features pique the palates of regulars each week.
