La Vie En Rose

Presented by Top Cut Steak House

  • 1 oz. Aperol
  • 1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. house-made rose water syrup (below)
  • 2 oz. rosé wine
  • 2 oz. club soda
  • 1 fresh orchid (optional)

Rose water syrup:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups demerara sugar
  • 1/2 cup rose water

Using a large white wine glass, build the drink by adding the Aperol, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, rose water syrup, and rosé wine. Stir the drink well, then fill with ice and top off with the club soda. Float an orchid on top as desired.

To make the rose water syrup: Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.  Dissolve the sugar into the boiling water, stirring slowly. Once the sugar has dissolved, stir in the rose water, reducing heat to medium and cover the saucepan. Allow the syrup to simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool before using. Store in an airtight container or mason jar in the refrigerator.
