Vibrant Chile En Nogada flies the colors of the Mexican flag on a bountiful plate. This traditional dish, created nearly two centuries ago to celebrate Mexican independence from Spain, is a cold-weather specialty incorporating seasonal pomegranates. Bright red arils and green cilantro leaves are scattered over a creamy walnut sauce adorning a poblano pepper filled with picadillo—a savory minced blend ground beef, onion, bell pepper, apple, and pomegranate—served on a bed of rice. Pairing with a pour of silver tequila is always appropriate.

Not all chiles are fiery! Flame roasting green poblanos, hailing from the Puebla region, adds complexity to their mild flavor.

FORK IT OVER

Warm up to a crispy, creamy, totally luscious Fried Avocado. Stuffed with cheese and ground beef or veggies, breaded, and cooked golden, this signature appetizer arrives with red sauce and house-made tortilla chips. Look for specials with shrimp or jerk-seasoned chicken.

A fiesta feel permeates the cantina and warmly inviting main dining room, where a “Little Amigos” menu welcomes guests of all ages.
