Moya
The Scene
The quaint façade of Jim Thorpe’s premier fine-dining destination belies a sensual contemporary lounge and dining room drenched in bold colors and appointed with vibrant expressionist paintings by Stephanie Verme, manager and wife of co-owner Chef Heriberto Yunda. Plank floors and a broad wood bar add rustic touches to the easy elegance of this warmly inviting modern space.
The Cuisine
Moya’s eclectic cuisine is splashed with global influences accrued through the couple’s extensive world travels. A menu that evolves continually reflects fresh seasonal tastes from the land and sea, and underscores the chef’s unpretentious style. A well-informed selection of wine and craft beer complements everything from signature braised short ribs to Asian-inspired dishes.

How has your cooking evolved?
We love to travel – our last trip was to Barcelona and we lived in Istanbul. I’m from South America and was French-trained, but have learned from new cultures and flavors, which I incorporate into my style.
