Cosmopolitan
The Scene
Classic styling infuses Cosmopolitan with uncompromising sophistication, from the chic ground-level bar and lounge to Wave, a rooftop nightclub with dazzling views. In between, chandeliers that once adorned Hess’s Department Store decorate the refined dining room and gracious ballroom. Warm hospitality starts curbside with complimentary valet parking and a welcoming doorman.
The Cuisine
Chef Justin Cogan’s Contemporary American Cuisine packs globe-trotting tastes into appealing lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus that include vegan and gluten-free dishes. While luscious strawberry Patio Pie and weekly “Sal’s Spaghetti House” nights pay homage to Allentown’s past, original cocktails and happy hour food and beverage specials celebrate the here-and-now.
Q&A with Myron Haydt, co-owner
How does Cosmopolitan complement the Arts District?
It started with the architecture. The entire building is made of real stone, with hand-poured concrete trim. Symphony Hall – a beautiful structure – was built over 100 years ago and we hope people think our building was as well.
