“My vision was to create an atmosphere that was warm and inviting with a great vibe,” says owner Donny Petridis. Also envisioning comfort-driven fare, he worked with Executive Chef Drew Stark to refine seasonal dishes with nostalgic appeal. “He took classic American cuisine and elevated it to the next level.” A mouthwatering example is a roasted pork chop with bourbon-braised cabbage.
In Our History
Located in the shadow of the historic center city monument, The Hamilton Kitchen & Bar captures a been-here-forever feel – an artful illusion created by noted designers when the restaurant was built last year. Vintage accents in the industrial-chic environment include Neuweiler crates, exposed steel beams and a communal table made from reclaimed wood; a vaulted arched ceiling lined with bricks creates intimacy in the airy bar.
At the Bar
A focus on American craft spirits, from local microbrewed beers to New World wines, shines brightest in a venerable collection of more than 250 American whiskeys that highlight hard-to-find small batch bourbons. General Manager Jason Lonigro also showcases his formidable bartending chops with a stellar lineup of traditional Old School and innovative New School cocktails. Classic techniques and house-made syrups and shrubs enliven diverse drinks, from a Hamilton Sour to a tequila-based El Scorcho.
