The Scene

Make tracks for the “new” dining and drinking establishment that’s been a prominent Alburtis fixture since the early nineteenth century. Extensive renovations preserved the building’s character while creating a more spacious feel. An original oak bar, wainscoting, vintage railroad signs and old-time lanterns enhance the yesteryear ambiance, and a new deck affords outdoor dining with prime train viewing.

The Cuisine

A casual, family-friendly menu rounds up a freight-load of craveable tastes, from succulent burgers and steaks to wings and pizza – plus treats such as buffalo chicken pierogies, over-loaded fries and smoky cheddar ale soup. For genuine local flavor, try a “town favorite” like chicken and waffles or Pop-Pop’s oyster pie. The full-service bar’s signature tap is Lockridge Lager.

What do you enjoy most about working in hospitality?

I just want my customers to leave feeling they were satisfied, that they got what they wanted. That’s important, and I treat them the way I want to be treated.
