Andrew Moore’s Stone Bar Inn
The Scene
A Pocono Landmark since 1936, the Stone Bar’s rustic charm shines in diverse settings. While the main dining room, distinguished by a river-rock hearth and horseshoe-shaped bar, is lined with cozy booths, a library affords views of the covered garden veranda. Book the wine cellar for intimate dining and bring a lively group to the interactive chef’s table in the kitchen.
The Cuisine
Modern American fare plays nicely with flavors from exotic international locales, delivering a harmonious tapestry of tastes and artful plating. Cornerstones of the menu are the custom-cut Angus steaks and ultra-fresh sustainable seafood. More casual pub fare delivers burgers, pizza lavash and divinely delicious pomme frites that elevate the humble potato to epicurean status.
Q&A with Andrew Moore, Chef/Owner
Where did you receive your culinary education?
I attended the Cordon Bleu in London. However, I traveled extensively in Europe and North Africa as a child. Those experiences, and my father’s passion for cooking, sparked my love of gastronomy.
