Third-generation owners John Dale and his wife Susan have taken their long-standing passion for all-things-beer in an enticing new direction. A bountifully stocked bottle shop – adjacent to the handsomely renovated Tap Room – offers a selection that will impress craft brew aficionados. Novice hop-heads, though, shouldn’t hesitate about asking for advice. “The beer world is very social,” says John. “It’s all about learning, and we all like to share our knowledge.”
On the Plate
Chef Ricky Heinrichs focuses on filling plates with fresh and local ingredients. Eclectic fare ranges from traditional favorites, such as signature Beer Braised Kümmelweck (beef cooked in Yuengling Porter), to special features like Duck Confit Pancakes with Milk Stout-Poached Wild Boar Meatloaf. The restaurant’s renowned dinner events pair exceptional beers with playfully creative menus.
