Hello, we hope you like meat.
WHAT’S THE VIBE LIKE?
Come as you are to this no-frills, no-fuss roadhouse. The walls are decked out in license plates, hunting trophies, and miscellaneous memorabilia that offers a classic slice of Americana, and the feeling is friendly, relaxed, and inclusive, whether you’re a family with small children, biker, or businessman.
CHEERS
Grab a cold one at the bar, which offers 10 beers on tap, and enjoy the full menu from your comfortable plush bar stool. Signature mixed drinks like the fruity Pink Piggy are always a good choice, and make it a point to pop in on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, when live music is in the house and there’s never a cover charge.
WE LOVE
We can’t get enough of these decked out Chesapeake Oysters. The fresh oysters are good on their own, but they’re better with all the fixings: think housemade crab dip, melted cheddar cheese, and a little bit of bacon—because everything is better with bacon.
Q&A WITH GRUMPY’S
WHAT’S THE BBQ PROCESS LIKE?
Grumpy’s uses the old-school method of rubbing the meat with house spices and then slowly smoking it in the hickory wood pit for up to 12 hours. The wood pit is going every day, meaning your meal is freshly smoked—
and the restaurant smells incredible.
DON’T I KNOW YOU FROM SOMEWHERE? LIKE, A FOOD TRUCK?
You’re probably thinking of the Worldly Q food truck, where Grumpy’s signature wood pit flavors meet global fusion (like Korean tacos stuffed with boneless chicken thighs). The food truck, which was in attendance to more than four dozen events and festivals last year, is always a crowd favorite.
IF THERE’S A FOOD TRUCK, IS THERE ALSO CATERING?
In addition to the Worldly Q food truck, there are eight catering trucks ready to cook on site and serve food for company events, weddings, and private parties.
