In the Glass
The highly evolved elegance of an ample martini and cocktail menu is exemplified in the Brambleberi. This heady elixir blends raspberry vodka, limoncello, elderflower liqueur and lemon juice in perfect proportions.
In the Loft
The Loft at 3501 adds an airy new dimension to this West End destination. The recently opened bar and dining area, adjacent to the original restaurant, melds rustic industrial style with a warm, modern feel. A vaulted oak-beamed ceiling – constructed by Mennonite craftsmen – caps the brick-accented dining area, which features a balconied upper level. Folding glass doors bring a fresh-air element to the flexible indoor-outdoor bar. Soaring windows wash the open space with light, and heaters extend the season on the covered patio.
With the Chef
The artful cuisine of Chef/co-owner John “J.P.” Pukanecz defies being bound to a single culinary style. “It’s just food – good food,” he says with a smile. His creative amalgam of global flavors represents decades of experience working in diverse regional restaurants. “I use French techniques with Asian and American ingredients – all wrapped into one,” Pukanecz says. “We do seafood well, and there are many appetizers and light dishes – as well as organic rib-eye steak. We try to have something for everyone. People have real choices.”
