WE LOVE
The Whiskey-Glazed Salmon is conversation-worthy, mostly because of its signature sauce. When the Chef was eating dinner at a restaurant several years ago, he came across a sweet whiskey sauce that he knew he had to try to recreate. The result, made with a sweet and savory mixture of brown sugar, pineapple juice, garlic, and onion, is even better.

WASN’T THERE A FIRE?
The building, which has been around since 1735, was ravaged by a 2015 fire. Little but stone walls and charred framework remained. Two years of rebuilding allowed Buckeye’s 2017 re-opening for a fresh start—it’s truly a restaurant back from the ashes.
WHAT IS BUCKEYE TAVERN KNOWN FOR?
The blue cheese dressing, which is a closely-guarded 60-year-old recipe, is a chunky, mild version of the popular dressing that guests have long begged for in bottles and jars. Another famous menu item is the Black Diamond Steak, which comes in stir fries, quesadillas, or as a juicy 8-ounce steak.
