THE DISH

This chop comes from the coveted Berkshire pig—a heritage breed discovered over 300 years ago that yields meat renowned for its richness, marbling, and depth of flavor. It’s cooked sous-vide with olive oil and herbs for maximum tenderness and flavor, and finished on the grill for that perfect sear. Served over green lentils with a side of seasonal grilled vegetables, it’s summer perfection. Enjoy it al fresco on the deck to complete the experience.

MUST TRY

Believe it or not, you have to try the deviled eggs. Chef Nate Weida admits he has an obsession with this often under-appreciated appetizer. Ever since trying the out-of-this-world deviled eggs at the famed Bouchon Bistro, he’s made it his life’s mission to duplicate them. Lucky for all of us, he’s gotten pretty darn close, garnishing them with pickled onions and crispy capers for max deliciousness. One downside: They’re only available on Saturdays.

WHAT’S NEW

Brunch! Every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Spinnerstown serves up their new Brunch ‘n Lunch menu, featuring classics like Eggs Benedict and some sweet surprises like the Apple Crisp Fritters. What makes us most excited, though, are the $10 bottomless mimosas.

FUN FACT

Wine Spectator magazine has recognized Spinnerstown’s wine list with an Award of Excellence. Wine & Spirits Director and Certified Sommelier, RJ Arnold, has taken Spinnerstown’s wine program to the next level, which now offers more than 100 selections, including an expanded retail selection. In addition to great wines, you’ll find 18 world-class beers on tap and around 250 bottles, which are always changing. Try the Echt Kriekenbier, a sour beer brewed with whole cherries. Can’t choose? Go for a flight of four 6-ounce beers for $12, or head to a monthly beer or wine tasting, which are announced on the restaurant’s website and Facebook page.
