Located in an 1840s tavern, this pit-lover’s paradise makes no apologies for its no-frills roadhouse style. It’s the kind of place where anyone—bikers, businessmen, families, and passers-by—can sit down and feel at home, and, indeed, they all do. Dry-rubbed and slowly smoldered for up to twelve hours over hickory wood, it’s a Cajun and Southern flavor fusion with burnt ends, pulled pork, spare ribs, and piping hot gumbo, perfect for pairing with a recently expanded supply of craft beer. This year, the restaurant is return- ing to its moveable feast roots by rolling out the “Worldly Q” food truck, stocked with a wood pit cooker and ready to serve Asian, Caribbean, and Jamaican inspired BBQ.
Did You Know? This beloved BBQ joint got its start with a concession stand 25 years ago serving up pork and Jambalaya. Today, you’ll find the exact same tried and true Jambalaya recipe on the menu, still prepared in a cast iron skillet, just like back then.
