• If you peek in the window, you’ll spy an enormous taproom with bar stools and comfortable seating for spirited gatherings, but Pearly Baker’s isn’t only a bar. Tucked in the back is a formal dining room aglow with the 9,000 twinkling hand-cut crystals in its famous chandelier.
• Yes, this is an alehouse, but there’s more than just pub grub to be found. Dinner plates like the Roasted Spaghetti Squash and Root Vegetables, is an earthy feast of roasted beets, parsnips, carrots, and turnips with sautéed Swiss chard. Bump up the protein with the addition of chicken, seafood, or even a New York strip.
• The recently revamped menu pledges local sourcing, like this full pound of Alehouse Duck Wings, fresh from neighboring farms. These crispy house-smoked wings can come tossed in a variety of flavors, but the chef recommends pairing them with the blueberry BBQ sauce.
• Craving something lighter? There are five different salads to choose from, including a classic Cobb Salad with a few tasty twists—zesty pico de gallo, fresh avocado mash, and creamy homemade green goddess dressing.
