There’s a newcomer in the building that once housed the beloved neighborhood eatery, The Lantern. It’s called Adagio, and if the Caribbean Tuna and Split King Crab Legs are any indication, it’s about to become the area’s go-to spot for casual, classic seafood.

Anything to look for this summer? A fleet of fresh warm-weather salads like the Shrimp Avocado Salad—blackened shrimp, ripe avocado, corn and black bean salsa, fire-roasted tomatoes, and a drizzle of roasted red pepper vinaigrette are new to the menu.

If it’s my first time, what should I order? Light, nutty, and scrumptiously smooth, the Almond Encrusted Mahi Mahi, which comes paired with white chocolate beurre blanc sauce, is a must for first-timers.

What if I want to treat myself? Remember these magic words: Lobster Tails. They’ll deliver two 4 oz. lobster tails stuffed with housemade crab cakes.

Did someone say brunch? Adagio recently opened its doors to unveil a brand new brunch menu. You’ll find seafood-driven dishes like the Lobster Benedict—warm English muffins topped with 4 oz. lobster, softly poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce—but also sweet treasures like the Berry White—stuffed brioche French toast with blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, white mousse, and Oreo crumbles.

What’s Adagio’s best-kept secret? You wouldn’t expect the basement level to hold the spacious banquet hall that it does. Not only is there a separate entrance, bar, and dance floor, there’s seating for up to 175 guests for private functions.

Adagio is currently BYOB, but full bar service is coming this fall.
