About Good Taste
LehighValleyGoodTaste.com is the complementary website to Good Taste, a publication, produced by Lehigh Valley Marketplace, whose most inaugural issue was published in February, 2011. We’re proud to present the 2012 Edition and we invite you to explore our updated website with new restaurants, recipes and feature articles.
Good Taste was created to showcase the best of the greater Lehigh Valley’s dining scene, and provide a beautiful (and easy) resource; one that you can use frequently, and throughout the year when friends or family ask, “Where should we eat tonight?”
We have profiled 29 Lehigh Valley restaurants so you can get “the dish” on our local chefs and restaurateurs and their passion for ensuring that you have an exceptional dining experience. In addition, our chefs have contributed over 100 recipes—along with photos—of their marvelous presentations. When planning to dine at home, or to entertain, you now have a “go-to guide” to help you emulate these culinary creations.
LehighValleyGoodTaste.com provides you with even more recipes for appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks to add to your culinary collection. Be sure to visit LehighValleyGoodTaste.com often to stay on top of what’s happening in the Lehigh Valley’s culinary world, or to print and share your favorite restaurant profiles and recipes.
Life is meant to be shared. Enjoy it with good food, good friends, and Good Taste.
About the Contributors
RYAN HULVAT - Twenty-three years of capturing countless images of people, places and events have taught photographer Ryan Hulvat to regard his art as a metaphor for life. Food remains a favorite subject since breaking bread together feeds the soul while nourishing the body. Hulvat’s creative energies are divided between commercial photography and education, including The Photo Documentary Project, an innovative jobs training program for disadvantaged youth. Hulvat lives with his wife and five children in Bethlehem – and enjoys cooking for the family.
LENORA DANNELKE – Writer and recipe editor Lenora Dannelke, co-author of Frommer’s Philadelphia & the Amish Country, covers food and travel for regional and national publications. In addition to talking with the talented chefs of the Lehigh Valley, she’s interviewed such culinary notables as Lydia Bastianich, Bobby Flay and Patti LaBelle. Living in Allentown’s Historic District provides her with access to an abundance of ethnic eateries and markets.
